But over several months, what started as an occasional annoyance became more frequent and distressing. Concerned, he visited a dentist for the first time in years. The diagnosis was sobering: improper brushing habits had led to gum recession, significant tartar buildup, gum inflammation, and four cavities.
The month-long treatment that followed was physically and emotionally draining. Despite anesthetics, each session brought sharp discomfort. More than just a medical procedure, it was a wake-up call. He realized these problems weren’t the result of bad luck—but of neglect, misinformation, and poor technique. And he was not alone. During those repeated visits, he met others facing similar issues, most of them unsure how things had gotten so bad. The common thread? A lack of knowledge, and a lack of the right tools.
